‘Twas the night before Christmas and all through the town Santa and reindeer – just couldn’t be found. The stockings were hung and the trees were all set, The folks were all waiting…but no Santa yet!
Hour after hour, no visit…no toys, No joyous laughter from good girls and boys. The children were crying; the grandparents, too. No Santa? No Christmas? What should we do?
The parents were holding the crying at bay, While the hours ticked down – could he be on his way?
When suddenly Woosh! What should appear? But a sleigh, and ol’ Santa, and all his reindeer!
And attached to his sleigh, was a sign all-aglow, “The skylights are covered, they’re all full of snow!”
Yes, there in the sky were the signs in the night, “The rooftops, the safety…it just isn’t right!”
So Nardine got to work and Marty did too, They put out the word to the GSS crew.
And up went the railings, the anchors, the guards. They protected the rooftops, and cleared out
The 16-gauge steel, powder coated…the best Was mounted, installed, and the crew would not rest
‘Til each roof was set up so that no one would fall. When it comes down safety, they’re on top
of it all!
Then just about midnight, with a minute to go, The moonlight awakened the glistening snow.
And there in that moment came jolly St. Nick Yes, there would be a Christmas, but he had
to be quick!
So came Dasher and Dancer, and Prancer, and Vixen, Comet, and Cupid, and Donner, and Blitzen
And of course, Rudolf, with his famous red nose. They delivered the toys just before the sun rose.
GSS did their best so that Christmas was grand Every rooftop was safe for the reindeer to land.
And Santa exclaimed as he flew out of sight, A safe Christmas to all, and to all a good night!
